Auto Advisory Services Appoints New President
Tustin, CA. (February 13, 2014) — Auto Advisory Services, a leading compliance consulting company, is proud to announce the appointment of Jonathan Morrison as its new President. Current President and principal, Rob Cohen, will remain with the company as Chairman.
Jonathan joins AAS from the California New Car Dealers Association (CNCDA) where he served since 2006, most recently as Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs. Jonathan was responsible for CNCDA’s legal, compliance, and regulatory operations, and was an architect behind many of CNCDA’s regulatory and legislative lobbying projects. He was the principal author of compliance articles in the CNCDA Bulletin and various CNCDA Dealer Guides, and content editor of the CNCDA Dealer Management Guide and F&I Compliance Manual.
“Jonathan’s background makes him uniquely qualified, not only to take over the day-to-day operations of AAS, but also to help us expand the services and products we provide for dealerships,” says Rob Cohen. “There are very few people in the country that have the depth of dealership compliance experience that Jonathan possesses. He is well known throughout the industry as an insightful and zealous dealer advocate.”
“I am honored to have represented California’s dealers before the state’s regulatory and law enforcement agencies over the past eight years, and I look forward to translating the lessons I’ve learned in doing so directly to the showroom floor. I am humbled that Rob has chosen me to be his successor and I am very excited to begin working with the talented team of attorneys and professionals that have made Auto Advisory Services such a great company,” says Morrison.
Jonathan is a member of the California State Bar and his educational background includes a law degree from Notre Dame and a master’s degree in international business law from the University of London.
